Create privacy in your townhouse garden

The only thing that could make it better is to add some privacy to your townhouse garden. Here are a few tips to create privacy to your townhouse garden.

Not only do trellis and screens offer a decorative solution to privacy in your garden, they also provide an attractive vertical surface for vines and plants to cling too.  Clematis, wisteria and trumpet vines all like to climb. They can help add privacy and garden interest with bountiful blooms.

Deck planters can be positioned on railings to house annuals and even some perennials that will grow and bloom. You don’t need to spend a fortune on planter boxes. Your local garden centre will have a huge selection that you can choose from.

Bamboo and ornamental grasses have become hugely popular as garden plants and once established, they offer beautiful screening year round. Depending on the variety of grass, they can grow quite high and offer a natural screening. If you leave them in the fall, instead of cutting them back, they’ll also offer winter interest in the garden.
